MEECS Water Quality Workshop

March 21 @ 4:30 pm7:00 pm

The Groundswell Stewardship Initiative‘s March Professional Learning event is a MEECS Water Quality Workshop featuring Amanda Syers, a Science Education Specialist with the Annis Water Research Institute.

MEECS (Michigan Environmental Education Curriculum Support) is a state-specific environmental education curriculum funded and managed by EGLE to help students learn through inquiry-oriented, data-based science and social studies lessons. MEECS units apply to grades 3-12 and can be used individually, adopted into a school’s multi-year science curricula, or combined to form the basis for an integrated science course. The grade-band focus of the Water Quality workshop is high school, but curriculum adaptations will be discussed to support additional grade levels.

This PL event is welcome to any educators interested in learning more about Groundswell, those who are actively working on their student projects already, or those looking to learn more about MEECS and water quality!
