GLSI/Mi-STAR Place-Based Education Professional Learning Community for Educators using Mi-STAR Unit 6.1: “Water on the Move” – The Water Cycle
This three-day professional development opportunity will introduce teachers to place-based education and ways to integrate it into Mi-STAR Unit 6.1, which focuses on the Water Cycle. Participants will be supported by the combined resources of a Mi-STAR Professional Learning Facilitator (PLF) and Discovering PLACE staff. The facilitators will assist educators in integrating locally relevant topics and community partners into Mi-STAR Unit 6.1 which focuses on the Water Cycle.
Eligible participants: Middle School Science Teachers using Mi-STAR middle school science curriculum.
